Biography
Jessica Shaw was born in 1987 in Kent, were she grew up and studied at school. After finishing her A Levels in 2005, she moved to North West London and fought off huge competition for a place studying BA (Hons) Film and Television Production at the University of Westminster. A popular and widely recognised course.
There, she has studied a wide range of filmic roles and techniques in both film practice and theory. She has recently completed her course, after specialising in editing and has begun working freelance for the likes of the British Musuem as well as working as a casting editor for award winning director Frank Budgen with Gorgeous Enterprises.
Technical Skills - Good knowledge of online/offline software packages such as Final Cut Pro 6, Premiere Pro, as well as basic understanding of Avid and After Effects. Good knowledge of the requirements for HD editing workflow. Experience with post-production sound design and Pro Tools and Soundtrack Pro software, as well as Photoshop. In addition, Jessie has recently completed the Apple certified course for Final Cut Pro and a similar training session in DVD Studio Pro and Motion. Good understanding of Compressor.
